The National Assembly for Wales, Strategy for Trees and Woodlands strategic objectives lists priorities for action to deliver a new emphasis on woodland management. The Forestry Commission Wales are delivering through the Better Woods for Wales scheme which will provide new funding opportunities with a new digital grant system. The new system is being devised through consultation with the forestry industry. Applications will undergo a management planning process to bring woods into management and to determine grant eligibility. Philippe Morgan is a member of the Wales Management Planning Social Working Group and is the agent for the Dolaucothi pilot woodland plan.
